Exploring and Networking

This past week in ISM, I focused on trying to expand my network of professionals in this field that I could reach out to and talk to. The metroplex is gradually becoming a hub for big corporations and there is an ever increasing number of businesses and their headquarters moving to this area. Therefore, finding professionals and their contact information has actually been easier than I previously thought. The career outlook for business professionals in marketing fields has been on the rise, and therefore there are a vast number of people to contact and interview. Moreover, I have learned the value and importance of having a presentable digital presence, so that companies will want to be in contact with me and develop further relationships due to a good first impression. While my contact list is growing, the next steps I need to take involve calling these professionals and scheduling interviews. Additionally, I have started delving into more of the specifics of international marketing by researching and reading scholarly articles based on specific questions I came across from my previous research. After realizing the significance of networking throughout the rest of my high school, college, and professional careers, I will continue to develop these skills in the upcoming weeks to ensure I find the right person who can mentor me, guide me, and push me further into my interests in international marketing.
