This past week I have finished all five interviews that I had scheduled. After conducting these interviews, I have gained a lot of new and useful information about this field from professionals I have loved talking to. In the coming weeks, I would like to schedule a few more interviews in order to make the final decision of who I would like to contact in regards to being my mentor. I want to ensure I pick the right person as my mentor so both sides can be benefitted, and I spend the year working with someone who is compatible with me and the best for helping me execute my goals for ISM this year. In addition to doing that, I have finished my original work proposal this past week, where I have laid out my plans for my first semester project. In short, I plan to find a small business or a start-up company nearby and help it develop a marketing plan or alter an existing plan. Through writing this proposal, I have made the final decision of the work I want to pursue and the way in which I am going to execute it. In the coming weeks, I have to do a lot of research and contact a lot of companies, which will be hard work, but work that I am excited about doing.
